No pain as too much nerve damage. I look truly awful now but hoping the scars will add to my rugged charm.

      Hey ho.

Yowza! I'm glad it doesn't hurt, but man, that was close and scary; eyesight is nothing to mess around with!

I'm sure it will do nothing but add to your rugged charm.

Holy crap Dave, that sounds scary! Hope you feel better soon and come out fully functional, if scarred!

Got cream after visit to docs. Some concern over tear ducts as looks like I cauterised the top one but apparently it does only 10% of draining.

Be a good story in time, just not now. Enjoying others good news instead!

It's comedy gold as well because slag is

-the crust of impurities formed on top of the molten metal pool when arc welding and

                    -slang for a loose woman

Hence getting hit in the eye by slag is raising as many eyebrows as the sight of the injury!

E had a fever at school yesterday and had to stay home today. Tomorrow is her last day of school before the holidays, and they're having a Christmas party in her new class. I know it's silly and she won't remember this, but I really wanted her to be there for it. She had a couple of high temperatures today, but nothing really consistent - I'd take it once and it' say 100.5, but then I'd taken it again and it would be 99.5. I was going to take her just for the party part, and so I could be at a meeting, but tonight she started tugging on her ears. Hubby looked in them and didn't think they looked infected, but he admitted he couldn't really see very well beyond the wax. I'm so torn. I hate sick babies! The same thing happened the last time she moved up at school too - new kids, new germs...
