"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

I have a twitch at my right temple and I am seriously considering Botox.

I've been thinking about Botox too. I think it looks great/undetectable on people who don't necessarily need it yet. I would pull the trigger if I knew for sure I'd only need it twice a year, but sounds like a lot of people do it 3x. For some reason that seems to push the price over the top in my eyes.

Who's the idiot who knew she needed 4 new tires and waited until the week of Christmas to get them? Plus DH got a late interview invite that he's decided to take so we need to buy another plane ticket. I know it's bad because at this point the $$ have just stopped fazing me. Really looking forward to that early 2015 insurance deductible & copay too. Yay for cash back credit cards? Barf.

Made DH's first loan payment today. Ouch! So SO thankful, though, for my job that is allowing us to make payments during residency. Hopefully we can get this monster paid down quickly(ish). Also, his loans make paying mine feel like buying a candy bar or something.

I hear you on this SO much! This time last year felt like I was just opening my bank account and pouring the whole thing into airlines/car mechanics pockets. Ouch. And the insurance deductible too, which of course is going up for 2015. Here's hoping the rest of our children are born in the last 1/3 of the calendar year!

Ack glitter herpes!! Today was apparently Christmas Card day in the mail (we got 5) and one of them from my pet sitter was absolutely coated in cheap glitter, which is now of course coating the rest of the mail, the dining room table, the floor, my hands, my jacket sleeves.... It's like a fairy exploded in here.

You're having a girl, right? This won't be the last time glitter invades. *sigh*

*sigh* Yes. And I'm certain the universe is going to give me an uber girly girl since I was such a tomboy as a kid.
