"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

      So glad you did, Allison!!!!

I am in the midst of Dec. 24th panic. Do I have enough gifts? Do I have everything I need? I keep checking over my lists and I feel nuts.

Rant:: dh was gone all of December from dec 1-dec 19, got back to immediately start taking call, is in the OR today, still on call through the 25th, and since he operates today I don't know how long he needs to follow the pts. And he's done nothing for Xmas. Nothing. At all. I've bought every present done every craft done every single school thing and paid every bill and everything. I'm so stressed and I have to make cookies and carry on all these family traditions. I'm going to be up until who knows when wrapping crap and I'm just not feeling it.

          Ugh.

I dragged hubby to our Christmas Eve service at church tonight in between calls, thinking there would be a lot of fun music and that we would enjoy it with E. It was probably the most boring Christmas service I've ever sat through, and E was so uncooperative. I love the people at our church, and I enjoy the teaching, but I truly miss our old churches which were a lot larger and seemed to have a lot of extras to offer.
