  • The first week of the new year: Resolutions

    It's the first week of the new year. We're all set to be fired up, right?

    How goes it?


    I have only made it to the YMCA once because I have all of the kids home and a ton of other excuses. Tomorrow everyone heads back to school and hopefully I head back to the Y.

    I have no more FB or iMSN on my phone. I have .... I have READ 3 books people! That just goes to show what a time suck the internet can be. I've cheated on iMSN because I love this place and the people and I don't want to disappear, but I've done better. With FB, I just quit cold turkey. I don't miss it. I'm glad I'm no longer checking update after update...and renewing and refreshing and renewing again. On the whole, my mind feels healthier.

    Now if I can jut make sure I get to the gym!

    Haven't done anything here yet. Kids have been sick all week, so I didn't want to take them to the gym child care and infect everyone else. We have our meal plan made for next week, and I bought groceries yesterday. Looking forward to eating better and seeing the end of these holiday pounds.

      I've eat steel cut oatmeal for to days straight. My ankle sucks. I'm probably going to see an ortho for a PT referral this week. I'm at an all-time winter low. I need to exercise in the winter. This is killing me, and not softly...

        I hope you get into PT soon Ladybug.

        I'm off to a good start. I worked out every day, stocked the fridge with healthy food and signed up for a couple of things with our playgroup. Now I just have to keep it up!

          Resolutions are going well although they're pretty vague and general. I should probably add something concrete like shave legs more often to the list

                I'm totally sucking at being on iMSN once a day today. Being on my computer is so much more fun than my phone. I can answer and read easily. I'm so hooked.

                        Week 1 of the diet is complete! We did well; I'm down 4 lbs. We'll have a couple of cheat nights next week (drug rep dinner and having another couple over for dinner), so I don't expect as great of results, but as long as I end the week down, it'll be fine.
