    What are yours?

Not the big ones that send you into a tailspin, but the little ones that nag at you?

I've got a shoe-buying anxiety. I can never decide if the shoe is too big or too small and it immobilizes me. It makes it hard for me to buy shoes!

DH bought me a pair of LLBean shoes for Christmas. I've never owned an expensive pair of shoes before really .... I usually go to PayLess. He picked something sturdy for me to wear outside in the winter. I usually wear size 9.5 or 10 and he picked 9.5. The shoes are awesome. The thing is, the tip of my big toes touches the end of the shoes. It's not uncomfortable, doesn't hurt and actually ... I find the shoes really comfortable. Still, I can't get it out of my mind that 'maybe' they are too small. It's too late now. I've worn them outside. I keep telling myself to get over it because they are comfortable and my toes actually rest very comfortably at the end of my shoe.

    Yikes. Such neuroses!

Are my kids getting enough vitamins and fiber and fluoride? Too many pesticides? I wish they had little meters that would light up over their heads.

Both the science and the propaganda of nutrition make me anxious about feeding my kids. We don't supplement with vitamins because they were driving me crazy asking for gummies before they even had breakfast, who got their first today, who's turn it was to be first. I cracked up and trashed the vita gummies. I said there will never be gummies in this house again!

I worry about my own calcium and vitamins levels. I get so overwhelmed but he options of supplements that I don't even know where to start...so I just eat and hope for the best.

I think science has sucked all the joy out of eating.

If I haven't worked out in a couple days, I become very anxious. Exercise is my compulsion, I guess.

I have the most ridiculous buyers remorse, and it causes me anxiety. Even if I set out the with exact intent to buy a specific thing, I will buy said thing, bring it home and waffle for a couple of days on whether or not I should have bought it/do I need it/should I get a different one? It's ridiculous.

LOL WPW me too. Actually, I send dh out to buy things like towels, etc. I just can't choose and then I have buyer's remorse. DH hates it when I send him for something because I am never happy with it ... but I can't choose it myself.

I will keep receipts and items in their bags for like a week "just in case." I have gone to B&N to buy a specific book I wanted (and felt I deserved!) only to return it three days later. Finally, I just started tossing receipts for stuff I knew I actually needed/wanted (not like groceries or household items...but like a pair of jeans that I legitimately need because I'm replacing pair that has a freaking HOLE in it) because I just have to COMMIT and remember that it's okay to spend money sometimes. Weirdly I don't feel that remorse when we're having a nice dinner out or having a nice bottle of wine!

My blood pressure. I am so neurotic about it, and then that anxiety makes it even higher! I get so anxious about it at doctors appointments. Sometimes I'll start worrying about it at home, and I have to have DH take it for me to show me it's normal.

I have anxiety every time I need a haircut. It's not the haircut itself, it's: how much do I tip, am I talking too much/too little, am I looking at myself too much in the mirror ... I'm too awkward for my own good.

So this. Except replace chest flutters with massive heebie jeebies. And I am obsessive about documents like passports so I'm always checking and re-checking.

My friend's 5-year old (with anxiety) describes it as "hot dog throat." One of the best comparisons I've heard yet!
