  • What are you listening to today?

I'm on music kick, as I've shared in my MSOTW thread, but a couple albums that we've grabbed lately are the ones we're repeating.

Today I'm listening to Jenny Lewis on repeat. In particular these three songs. I highly recommend this album!

Head Underwater (so great and reminds me of Fleetwood Mac)

She's Not Me (probably my favorite song on the whole album)

    Just One of the Guys

    What's on your playlist today?

New agey sacred spirit drums. In the car with K1. It's therapeutic for him, relaxing but redundant for the rest of us. K2 hates it.

I've dumped my music right now for a Great Courses World History course. Before that, it was "all about that base" which is one of my all-time favorite songs!

I'm hooked on Hozier's Take me to church right now. I get obsessed with songs and then look for all the covers on YouTube.

I love this song cover and the dramatic lighting, but the changes in focus and depth of field bug me. Gorgeous voice though!

I'm also obsessed with BBC's Live Lounge. It's fascinating to see what songs world-famous musicians choose to cover and their interpretation.

One of my faves is Lorde's cover of Jeremih's Don't Tell 'Em. She physically becomes the song and sounds. Miley circus wears a turtle neck and sings Lana del ray's summertime sadness, Taylor swift covers Riptide really well, and Sam smith sings Tracy chapman.

                    Sorry for the post vomit.

Here's my new fave cover of Lana de rays summertime sadness. They take it all reggae and rap. It's unreal. I want to move to London.
