  • Valentine's Day

Oh man you guys, it always sneaks up on me!
What do I do? He already got a sweet present for Xmas, so I don't necessarily think I'm going to buy a gift.
    Perhaps an experience? Special dish?

Does he have a bag for the camera? Random accessories?
I just bought this and love it: http://www.amazon.com/Hufa-The-Origi.../dp/B005IUTF2G

A lens cleaning pen is also a great thing to have, as is a bulb blower - especially for sandy use!

I was thinking of making DH a favorite snack. He loves Chex Muddy Buddies for studying and I haven't made those in a while.

Well, we ignore Valentine's Day. We always have, even when we were dating. We celebrate April Fool's Day instead. ( The day we met on a blind date.) Roses are a lot cheaper then!

Valentine's day is the anniversary of my aunt's death (two years next month) so it's sort of a sad/traumatic day of memories for us. DH still tries to make me happy, but we've never been V-day people but will do dinner. This year because it's a Saturday and DH has weekends off well probably go out to dinner and exchange cards. I've just never been that into it, I don't know why! Losing my aunt has made that time of year gloomier. sorry to bring it down in here (:-\) I think it's really nice when people do special romantic stuff for Valentine's day! I hope you all have a great one

Big hugs WPW. Losing loved ones is hard enough but when it happens on a holiday, it's even harder, isn't it? I'm not a Valentine's person and every year, we've had some kind of misunderstanding. I do like hearts though, so I'm getting underwear and socks with hearts just because.

My birthday is 2/15 so we either do one big thing or have two days of fun. This year on vd we're renting an electric boat to cruise around downtown in and then going to dinner. For birthday Sunday, we're going sky diving! I can't wait.

No presents though, we have too much stuff as it is. When we do have presents, we tell each other exactly what we want for holidays or share one big gift "to us". This has made our holidays fun and stress-free. Does anyone else do this?

Riiiight? Or if you are, you are presenting at an IMSN conference some day...you will meet with all the male spouses (at a microbrewery so they will not suspect a thing ) and teach them the art of gift giving.

Man, I am on an evil streak tonight.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!
