  • How do you treat yourself?

What little things do you do/buy to treat yourself?

I take long, hot baths ... Almost daily 😱.
I also will buy scarves for myself as a treat. They are fun and can make me feel dressed up.

      I go on a lunch date/get a pedi with a girlfriend every 4-6 weeks.
I don't indulge in much, as my horse is a constant "treat" lol
This past weekend I got a Swedish massage/pedi and lunch.

Fitness classes. Spa treatments (which I've been doing less of here - not a big spa town) and really good wine.

          Starbucks. Almost daily.

Showering. Almost daily. (I know. But it feels like a luxury. )

Thrift shopping and crafting when I'm supposed to be doing chores.

I'm about to start taking a class with a few of my girlfriends. I'm looking forward to it but I'm so scattered that I keep forgetting what the class is called. All I know is that it's a chance to use my brain and see my friends and I'll be frantic trying to get the boys to school and the baby to the sitter the next 10 Friday mornings.

          I read a lot. I'm in a book club.

I'm in a moms group too. We mostly go out for drinks or dinner every few weeks.

Having at least one kid free meal weekly is essential to my sanity.

Grin, with little ones showering is a luxury!!!!

I will occasionally take a hot bath. The internet is probably what I do for myself.

Currently - hair and makeup are my treats. Both getting them done/experimenting with things and having time to do them most mornings.

I'd like to do some type of Barre class, piano lessons, and have a great tub in the future.

I usually get my 'treat' inspiration from Groupon or Living Social.

                      Like a discounted mani/pedi.
Or a two for one spa day.
Or go on a thrill ride like a zipline.
Also going on a shopping spree during the sales to buy clothes is a treat for me.

I took a stain glass class once that cost me several hundred dollars and I found out from the rest of the class they all bought the $35 Groupon for it. Ever since then I shop Groupons for the interesting deals.

Lately I'm thinking about taking some sailing lessons out on a local lake here for $35 a month.

About once every couple of months I buy myself a braid of handspinning fiber. I indulge my pets regularly, it makes me happy to buy their favorite ($8/lb) food, especially now that we've halved the pet population here. One night last month I rented a chick flick on iTunes (Pitch Perfect) and watched it and spun yarn or knitted and it was SO fun. I might make that a monthly occasion.

Language and dance classes, ice cream cones at the beach, sleeping in (I've had insomnia for 20 years so this is a biggie), the occasional dance party in my bedroom, dressing up and going out to dinner with a close friend once in a while.

Food...I wish it was something else haha.

I don't consider my almost twice daily bath habit a treat...it's totally a necessity for my sanity!
