  • Music expertise needed!

My son is doing a production of the Oddyssey (in 2nd grade!) and the class is using music as the background for many scenes. We are looking for some piece of music that could represent a stormy sea for part of their journey. Anyone got any recommendations? The director (again, in 2nd grade!) is leaning towards some classical composition but we are also using jazz and pop in other sections. I'm putting together the CD with iTunes.....

There are some "stormy" sounding music scenes on the soundtrack of The Piano.
Nothing specific coming to mind, but any George Winston music that sounds stormy?

Try various Wagner or Beethoven clips.....some of them can be pretty stormy! Also, what about the soundtrack from the movie "A Perfect Storm"?

I have a little snippet in my head of something I used to play for the kids when I was teaching that was supposed to describe a storm, but I can't for the life of me think of the title......I will keep thinking about it though.

      This project sounds very cool!
