  • To do list today

    I am having to literally put one foot in front of the other today. So I will post here as I get things done..

    So far I have only done:
    loaded a few dishes and started the dishwasher
    started a load of laundry
    Did my Bible study
    Went over the study guide with my daughter for science
    Ate breakfast

    I need to get busy.... It is 9... I normally have twice as much done by now...

    Now it is 10am.. I made my bed, straightened my bedroom, hung up the coats
    unloaded the dishwasher
    The air conditioner guy showed up without calling!!! I have a sweatshirt and pajama pants on...oh well.
    Fed the dogs so they wouldn't bother him and one ran in leaving footprints everywhere...sigh...
    changed the laundry and started another load

    It will not be 2pm soon enough when I can go to church and get my mind right... Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming.

      First kid-free day since vacation! I already fed the kids breakfast, made their lunches, packed their backpacks (and unlike yesterday didn't forget the gifts for teachers), walked them to the bus stop, fed the cat and had my breakfast. Today I need to...
      * Shower
      * Clean (eight rooms on my list)
      * Garden (3.5 roses and two huge buddleia left to prune, plus general tidying of perennials)
      * Get my seed starting equipment set up
      * Make lunch for DH
      * Go to the farm store and grocery store
      * Get a good long walk in!
      * Collect kids from bus stop, let them play outside with neighbor kids loosely supervised, supervise homework and help DS with his big multimedia report on volcanoes, make dinner, read to kids, bathe kids, clean up from dinner, feed the cat again, wait for DH to come home (it's been 11:45-midnight lately).

      DH is off tomorrow and Friday, yay.

              The K Bros antics this morning left me feeling like I'd been in a spin cycle. I'm having lunch with K1 and Lambie now. Hopefully, I'll get something done between school drop off and K1's OT. Wednesdays are the worst and DrK is planning to be home late.

                Plans changed when rush job came into workshop. Hour later and 1 spare wheel carrier fixed and customer on their way. More fun and lucrative than house work. DW not convinced......!

                  LOL, mum's the word!

                  Plans changed, hiked for an hour with DH (so I don't need a walk any longer) and he made his own lunch, packed to go. I will head out on errands when he leaves for work.

                  Spaz, I hadn't heard of AceMoney before. Is it just not communicating with your brokerage?

                  GRU, back in my day *cue crotchety voice* school wasn't canceled for windchill unless it was about -40.

                    1. Lay in bed.
                    2. Watch TV.
                    3. Nap.
                    4. Go to HOA meeting. Sigh.

                      At a warmer part of the day it was -23. I agree, though. I never (in 12 years of school) had a "cold day" or even late start. Today and tomorrow are both delays, but that means no half-day programs 😡

                        When Ry was in Kindy they cancelled school one day cause it was -45°. That's legit cold.

                        I feel like in Boston they're going to be in school till July this year to make up all the days.

                              Just dropped the boys at school. I've got my coffee. Lambie is napping in the car while we wait in the library parking lot for baby story time to start. Then pick up K1, lunch, drop off K1, parents as teachers with Lambie and grocery shopping before picking everyone up and giving Lambie a second nap (probably in the car during pick ups). Then homework, dinner, laundry, baths, bed. I also need to tag 200 items for a consignment sale.
