I'm dark brown with red but SO would love it if I dyed it bright red. Do what you want!

I totally missed the med school class for spouses that teaches us this shit.

I'm WILDLY inappropriate, dress whatever way I want, anti-social, and just generally don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of me. If they won't see my dude because I drop an f-bomb on the reg, that's their loss because he's the shit.

Whew! Thank goodness I'm not a doctor's wife and am actually the doctor. My hair is naturally curly and dark brown and I've added teal blue streaks. Oh and I have my lip pierced. I know some of my clients do a double take, but everyone loves my hair. I get stopped regularly for compliments.

I'm seriously cracking up over here!!! We spoke about it and he is just self conscience about what other people might think of me or have a misconception of me.

Ultimately it is my hair and I can do what I want but he thinks he should be able to have his opinion lol or at least tell me his opinion on the matter.

I told him I'm going to dye my hair blond and then a bright color just so he can get use to it.

Purple, red or white lol who knows!!

Here is a pic if my hair now

I still do not get it. Does he really think people will judge him by how his spouse looks? If so, the purple or blue hair may give him some cool factor points.

Attending might be thinking "oh wow, so and so's wife looks like a fun loving, cool person...maybe student so and so is not as uptight as I thought he was.

DO it!! I toyed with getting purple streaks last summer but was, as Vanquisher phrased it, too much of a chicken shit. DH actually wanted me to do it. I don't see how going blonde would be construed as "not appropriate" for a doctor's wife -- hell I'm naturally blonde, does that mean I'm just naturally inappropriate?

Hahahaha I need to post pictures of the colors I want lol

I think if we were both on the west coast it wouldn't be too much but thinking about where we are right now (Az) a small lote town. There are a bit more conservatives then those free spirited and people who understand... But maybe I'm not giving the town a chance lol

my office manager has some streaks in that color. The other streaks are pink.

This is kind of what mine looks like, but curly and mine are not extensions.

That's really pretty! I definitely get how it can feel more/less "rebellious" based on the city you're in, especially if you went purple all over. While I don't technically live in a beach town we are on the gulf coast and the nearest big beach destination is about an hour away so a lot of that laid-back vibe carries over to here. Purple hair is still unusual here but hardly causes a scandal. Maybe start with a few streaks that you can easily hide depending on how you style your hair and work up to more? That sleepy little town might need a bit of shaking up anyway .

So decided to start with a more common color and then do the streaks like Michele posted of and then the full blown hair!!! What do you ladies think?
