  • What is your favorite song right now?

No playlists ... Just that one song you turn the sound up for and dance to while you're driving (you know what I mean!).

    I'm so lame.

I love Uptown Funk. I throw up the volume and embarrass the hell out of my kids.

Not like you need it, but here it is:

I have had Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down" on repeat this morning. I'm literally replaying the YouTube video over and over this morning. I've probably listened to it 30 times today. It is beyond beautiful. Not dance-worthy, but totally goosebump inducing.

This our family song! We crank it up in the car too.

Confession: I thought it was "uptown funky walk" until corrected.

Confession - I've never heard of quite a few of these songs or artists.

My favorite right now is Shoulders by For King & Country.

I have a hard time narrowing down which Hozier song is my favorite. It's a toss up between "Jackie & Wilson" or "In a week". I'm also blasting the shit out of Alabama Shakes "Don't Wanna Fight".

I've never heard of *any* of these artists. I've never been into music. I listen to NPR in the car and K1 has these new agey therapeutic drumbeat cds that we listen to which is not as bad as I thought it would be but K2 begs to listen to "loud" music. So we listen to pop music a little bit when we are in the car without K1. The kids have been singing "Sikidermerink" on repeat all day every day and I wake up with it running through my head. Does that count?

I know! I love the whole album! "To Be Alone" is another of my favorites.

When I'm not listening to the radio, I'm either listening to the "Sounds Like Learning" CD ("Apple, apple, a,a,a, Baby, baby, b,b,b"), or one of Elizabeth's Pandora playlists, one of which has KidzBop as a seed, the other is a whole assortment of kids music. Now I see why my mom can't tell you anything about music in the late 80s and early 90s.
