Tonight Zoe has a 3 hour dance practice for her recital. Tomorrow she has a belated birthday party. Sunday is the recital. On top of that is kid's Kung fu and Aidsn's second travel soccer game. We're booked solid!

Flying out for DH's 10 year college reunion in a few hours. Should be fun but I do wish we could take a low key weekend away from the kids instead of always traveling for his alumni events.

        Weekend plans

If it doesn't pour again tomorrow, the farmers market with friends in the morning. I may try and put up a backsplash too (glue up kind...not that crazy!)

DH is likely working all weekend

Pictures tomorrow for at least one kid. Maybe 2 if they are on their very best behavior. Then having some friends over for dinner. Sunday, I'm going to a show! I won tickets to The Motherfreakinghood. I had to come up with a parody song title based on my motherhood experience. Mine was "It's All Fun and Games Until Someone Craps His Pants." I'm taking my cousin. She's hilarious and she has nine children so I figured it was her sort of thing.

My sister is coming this evening, and we'll go with DH to dinner and then to our town's Music on Main St. concert.

I was planning to take the kids to visit my parents tomorrow and let DH have the weekend to himself, but I think the bridge between here and there will be under water from this stupid flooding, and the detour is hours out of the way.

If we don't go, we're thinking of inviting friends over and DH smoking a brisket.

Friday night is our standing date night, so we're headed out to that. The place we're going just did a big remodel and there is one room where an entire glass wall can be opened up to let the air in. Can't wait to relax for a bit and take a walk in this gorgeous weather.

Tomorrow we're headed to a wedding and will get to see BIL and SIL for lunch beforehand. BIL just got a fancy new job so we're taking them to lunch to celebrate. We're crashing with MIL and FIL Saturday night and doing breakfast with them Sunday. We're hoping to grab coffee with a couple of DH's college buddies before we head home. One of them his a six month old baby I desperately need to love on.

I kind of wish we were staying home. I really need a no-alarm day.

DH's last night shift of his AI is tonight, so we're meeting for a quick dinner before he goes in then I'm taking myself shopping and to the bookstore. I'll probably treat myself to ice cream on the way home then take a shower, pop in a movie, and stitch for a bit or perhaps read. I'm sure DH will sleep a bit when he gets home tomorrow morning but after that we plan to lounge by the pool. Tomorrow night we have dinner plans with friends and Sunday is another pool day and some pre packing/pre planning logistical matters for vacation.

One week until we leave for the beach and 1.5 weeks until we fly out to CA!!

Today was the last day of school. DH is on-call tonight so I decided to have a party of 5 extra kids over tonight to celebrate! I must be crazy.

Recital Friday and Saturday night. DH's month long call started a week early (but someone is covering for him during the recital ). And at some point I need to pick up and do laundry as it seems as our house has exploded

Trip to visit my parents didn't happen. They drove out there, and they're letting people go through one at a time for now. The highway patrol said they'd be closing the road today. Here are the pictures my Dad took. So tired of this rain...

Can share in weather woes. Wet, cold and windy here. So many jobs waiting for good weather.
