  • Plans for the holiday weekend?

What do you guys have going on?

Thomas had an extra day off, so we are at the cabin. This is a much needed break for all. We'll get to see the fireworks off of our back porch.

We watched fireworks last night. Tomorrow, I'll take the kids to my family reunion (about an hour drive away), and we'll hang out there for most of the day.

We are having a party tomorrow evening. I'm studying for a bunch of exams. I'm doing a 5K in the morning.

Not much going on here. Dh and O went to the science museum today while I sewed. We may go out to dinner later. Tomorrow dh has a case in the morning and myself and O are going to the farmers market in the morning. That's it!

Saw BIL and SIL today. I think we may hang with a friend tomorrow? Low key all the way. This is our first 4th with the pupalup, so not sure how she'll respond to all the noise.

Had some friends over last night. There was some drama and arguments with the couple who almost broke up a few weeks ago. My closest friend said some pretty hurtful and sad things to me. We left them fighting outside our house at 2:30am. Thankfully it all happened after most people left.

Now I'm hungover and just want to lay on the couch and watch TV all day

Wow. That's healthy weekend schedule! I'm exhausted just reading that. Hope your party is fantastic!

Went to barre, have a friend over. We walked up the street for burritos and may all take a nap soon. G&Ts later, I think.

My parents are on their way, but holiday traffic is clogging up the ferry lines. DH went for a bike ride, we went to the market for berries and tacos, now he's napping while the kids play Plants vs Zombies, and I'm going for a run with my new GPS (with heart rate monitor!) after he gets up. After my folks arrive he'll grill some grass fed steaks over the fire, and we'll blow some stuff up (mostly just little kid-friendly ground things, it's super dry here.)

He's off tomorrow too! So exciting.

We are at the in laws place on an island in the PNW. DH was not going to make it but he ended up having Friday off so he was able to drive up and walk on a ferry. His brothers are here too so it has been fun to hang out. We took the kids to the parade this morning and are looking forward to the fireworks tonight. MIL says they put on a pretty good show.

It's my birthday today! I had a very busy day with festivals and farmer's market. Now I'm relaxing with the kids and DH in the backyard with the fire pit, birthday berry cobbler, and s'mores in a bit. A very good birthday.
