Animals, watching what my dog does (ends in a lot of us just staring at each other), finding a sauvignon blanc I really like as much as the one we brought home from vacay, house shopping/home decorating in our hometown in anticipation of matching there (because I'm putting it out into the world as a "when" instead of an "if". Isn't that what "The Secret" was all about?), finding/trying new recipes, burrata.

My dog. She's adjusting to hardwood floors, so lately I've taken to watching her try (and mostly fail) to jump up on the couch. She also fishtails while taking corners. It's all too cute, I can't handle it.

I'm also obsessed with budgeting. Our rent just increased, so I'm looking for ways to increase my income/reduce expenses so we can enjoy this apartment without feeling so broke all the time. I think I see a return to coupining in my future.

Lastly, religions. I love learning about different religions. My most recent obsession has been Mormonism. Not sure what my next will be.

OMG I got SO into all of those videos like a month ago and watched every one I could find. They seriously need more test test videos, IMHO. The Try Guys testing BAC was one of my faves. Informative, too!

The only thing I can think of that I would call an actual obsession is formatting - like word documents and websites. I can't stand when I'm working on a document and the formatting is all crazy and messed up, and I have been known to spend hours correcting things. Making conference posters is even worse. I tried to outsource the last one I made, and it was horrible. I'm pretty sure my graduate program is still using the templates I made for both theses and dissertations and conference posters.

Documenting. I take pictures and videos all the time, and I keep a daily journal. My journal is not introspective or anything, just a list of everything I did that day.

My interests tend to fluctuate a lot through seasons and years. Right at the moment I can't get enough of knitting and spinning (and reading about spinning and looking at knitting patterns, etc.) I'm also running a lot, but what I'm specifically a bit obsessive about is thinking about what kind of dog I might one day be running with. Which is pretty nuts because at the moment it's looking like we won't have a puppy for another six months minimum and then it will have to be well over a year old before I can run with it...but it's still how I spend every single jog. Oi.

Making lists. Can't function without them.
