        The real proposal story:

*us, sitting on the couch together after seeing a movie and hanging out earlier in the day*

DH: "I love you so much."
        Me: "I love you, too!"
        DH: "Will you marry me?"
        Me: "Of course!"

He later felt super terrible because there was no scavenger hunt, walk on the beach, fancy dinner, kneeling, etc. and tried to redo the proposal a few weeks later. (Which didn't go as planned at all)

He had no ring, but I didn't need one.
        (I have one now, though).

Ours is not very romantic but I love it because it's us. Neither of us are into big romantic gestures.
DH arrived home one evening during intern year. He walked in the door in his scrubs, dropped to one knee in front of me (I was sitting on the couch) and popped the question. He didn't have a ring but he'd arranged to get off work early the next day so we could get our marriage license and a ring. We got married 3 weeks later but that's another story.
