K1 starts kindergarten next week. I'm ready but I'll probably ugly cry anyway. K2 will be starting his second year of preschool at the end of the month and Lambie starts Mommy & Me/MMO mid-month. I've figured out that I will have about 5 hours kid free each week.

A few weeks ago, K1 pounced on the foot of our bed at 3AM causing a cartilage injury in my toe. So, I'm supposed to be taking it easy but I'm pretty much on my feet all the time.

Nothing terribly exciting going on here.

We are trying to enjoy the end of summer. O goes back to school and starts 1st grade at the end of the month.

DH starts an ambulatory rotation and MIL arrives to spend some quality time with Baby Baskets. Then we're off to a wedding, and DH has a week of vacation. Hope to get truly settled in to the house and enjoy DH having weekends off before September bitch slaps me with a horrible schedule again.

MS2 starts on Monday! We have new neighbors moving in above us (PhD and MSW students), and they seem really nice. Crazy week at work up ahead. I may be scare 'round these parts until Friday.

We've had a fun summer. The kids have gone to the summer session at their preschool 5 mornings per week, and I've been working out pretty hard getting in shape for an obstacle course run in September. We've had some fun trips - Napa with DH, Nashville with iMSN people, and an indoor waterpark with the kids (sans DH) and two other moms and their kids.

DS will start kindergarten on the 24th, and DD will be going to PreK3. They're pretty excited about it, especially DS.

DH starts fellowship on Monday, and DS1 starts preschool the week after that. This last month has been amazing and I'll miss having DH around full time, but I'm ready to get back to "normal" and get going with this year.

My kiddo starts 1st grade in a little over a month. She turns 6 just a week prior to school starting, and is super excited about that.

Our other one is almost 15 months old, and super sweet, funny, and is absolutely enthralled by her big sister. It's always been a love fest between my daughters, and virtually no sibling rivalry, despite the fact that dd2 gets into EVERYTHING and requires so much attention right now. We feel like we've won the lottery every day with how good they are to each other.

Other than that, just chugging along. One more day of crazy heat here and then we can all get back to more sane temperatures. I hope. It's been ridiculous.

Hi all! I've been MIA due to the big job hunt and other craziness. But I'm back and excited to catch up!

DH is in his last year of training (yay!!!!). The job hunt is over and he'll be signing a contract in the next couple weeks. It's been crazy and we're having a REALLY rough time deciding between two options.

Otherwise, it's been a fun summer. We've logged lots of hours at the neighborhood pool and parks. I'm ready for more of a schedule and both boys are looking forward to preschool.

Well I've started my last semester of OT undergrad including my thesis with Australian registration at the end. Landed a new part time job as an OT assistant which is awesome to be able to work in the field and save a bit more for a plane ticket to see DF.

My brother had a catastrophic brain injury nearly 4 years ago. It's been a long and painful road and this tends to continue. He's experienced a significant complication from an IVC filter. It's looking like he will need open surgery to remove it. I'm trying to help the family navigate the situation as much as I can handle. I just keep praying.

I moved back into a friends spare room and it's sooooooo nice to have my lovely friend and her family around me. I'm starting to feel a little more settled.

Helped my brother propose to his girlfriend yesterday.

DF is LOVING his surgery rotation and doing really well with all his extra curricular activities.

How many siblings do you have? Is the brother who proposed the same who has the brain injury?

I'm one of 6 originally. However my sister passed away from SIDS so there's 5 surviving. 3 brothers and a sister for me. My mother is a super woman 😊 (and let's not forget dad).

                        No different brothers.
My injured brother had a serious GF (& one of my besties) at the time of the accident. Sadly she passed away suddenly early last year from HOCM.

It's been lovely to have some proposal joy in the house and to see people laughing again

Oh my goodness. So many tragedies. So glad something wonderful has happened for your family.

Oh gawd. I just looked at the calendar...DH is in a stretch that has him off for almost two weeks, which is sweet and we're enjoying it. But after that the rest of the month is basically hell.

School starts August 31, they'll both be full-time for the first time ever, first and third grades (!) and I'm both panicky (Supply shopping! Clothes shopping! Missing my kids!) and a little excited to have enough kid-free time to actually accomplish something besides a mad dash to the grocery store. But also worried that I'll start feeling guilty or bored with all that time.

My parents have basically begged and pleaded to have the kids for an overnight before they go back to school, so I have to figure that out too.

1 week away from the third tri. Bring it on. I bought tums, Zantac, and Prilosec yesterday. Nothing more I can do to be ready
