  • Mom brain and awesome friends

One of my friends from church had her second baby over the weekend - her first is a few days older than E. She just realized that she accidentally threw away $200 of cloth diapers that were in a trash bag waiting to be washed, thinking it was instead the other bag of disposable diapers and wipes. She realized it after they picked up the trash. Fortunately, our church is awesome and so many ladies offered to give a little bit and help them out, so within a few hours she has enough money to buy new ones. Mom brain (and pregnancy brain) is serious though! I don't cloth diaper, but I can't even imagine how she felt with that discovery, on top of the baby blues.

WOW that's is terrible but also amazing that the congregation pulled together like that. My mother cloth diapered. I shall have to ask if she ever did anything like that

Aww, poor woman! What a great response from the church!

My mom cloth diapered us, but used a service. There is a local cloth diaper service here, which is probably the only way I'd ever try to do it. I know my limits.

So glad the church banded together for her! I bet each one of those moms as a "mommy brain" story, too.

Oiy that's a pricy mistake! I keep our dirties in a cloth wet bag for that reason. Yikes! I'm glad the church came through for her though.

Mom brain aside: Reminds me of when I left a BRAND NEW PAIR of white J Brand jeans on the bed at a hotel. I couldn't see them cuz they were the same color as the sheets and didn't realize that I left them there. Never even got the chance to wear them outside of the filleting room! Still makes me mad. I looked damn good in them but I wasn't about to shell out another $200 on a new pair. So tragic. Why do bad things happen to good people? 😐

Oh no! That would definitely suck too! I left a pillow once, but I was able to get it back, thankfully.

Bag of J.Crew sale finds was my mistake. Day after Christmas sales, left the bag in a shoe store. No idea how I managed that. I still mourn those Ts and cardigans, and it's been like 10 years. :/

That's heart breaking, CP!! I recently lost some yellow gold / garnet stud earrings in my own house. I was drunk when I took them off and now I'm afraid I'll never find them again.

I hope they turn up! I lost my wedding jewelry set for over a year and through one move. Thought I'd never see it again, but I ended up finding it in a zip lock with some random pictures. Good luck!
