  • The case of the anonymous towel

I got this e-mail this morning from a fellow faculty member, and it has me cracking up. I hope we find out the whole story!

    Hi All,

    Good morning!

Yesterday afternoon, someone anonymously put a towel into my mailbox. There is no information of sender or consignee on the plastic bag.

For this anonymous packet, I inquired department admin and department vice chair. They had no idea about the sender. So, I put it into department chair’s mailbox.

If you happened to put it into my mailbox, please take it back and put it into the right mailbox with sufficient information. Thank you!

I apologize for bothering all of you due to the unexpected incidence. Make it a nice day!

    All the Best,
    faculty member

Case closed - it wasn't nearly as exciting as I had hoped!

    E-mail from other faculty member:

Hi, it was me who put the towel. I thought it was yours that you left hotel room where we shared at last week's meeting. I knocked your door and you were not there yesterday. So I put in your mailbox. Please put in trash if it is not yours.

Hahahahhaha.... I seem to have anonymous underwear in my household.... Lately a rather sheer xl grandma beige lace one that my grandmother asked if it was mine. Yeah, I maybe pregnant but I'm not that huge!!! Other time it was a thong....
I've come to the conclusion that it's my mother in laws underwear
