The one time I went with DH (for a second look in smallish-town CA), I wore dresses and flats and felt good about that decision. The people we had dinner with came in jeans, very casual. They weren't top brass, closer to our age. At any rate, I'd always rather be the more nicely dressed than the less. I agree that blazer or cardigan and slacks is always a safe bet too.

Good luck! Hope this one works out!

I effing hated the group that separated us and had me hanging out with the wives (there were no male spouses). We lunched at the country club and they showed me the "desirable" places to buy a house, blah, blah, blah BLEH.
Ugh this would irk me too. Don't they know who really wears the pants in these relationships??

I would also be irked. Like the wives don't remember having some sort of solo-interests through training? Eye roll.
