We did a dinner for halfway there too. Just our co resident families and us but it was fun. 5 years isn't as long as 7 but it still felt like a milestone.

We're trying to get all the residents and SOs together for brunch after they take their in training exam Sunday. But the extent of "planning" is just spreading the word of time and location via text the week of.

Looking forward to our last absite party tomorrow too!
The residents usually meet for brunch/bloodies after they finish the test so that they can talk about the test (nerds). They kind of trickle in after the test. Then, it's nap time, before the "party" at a bar with SOs. No test talk allowed. I may or may not have made the "no test talk allowed" rule a couple of years ago.I'm just trying to make it out alive!

Hahaha my guy has been talking about his epic nap for a week now. The test is meaningless for him this year, but he's an over-achiever, so naturally he wants to ace it. (AKA he's locked himself in the office to study pretty much every night for the past month. Gawd I hate that test.)I'm just trying to make it out alive!

Hubby came to me super serious this week and was like, I have bad news. I just realized I'm going to be studying endlessly. Next year, January last ABSITE, July written boards, Fall oral boards, January vascular ITE, then onto the vascular boards, then recertification every 7 years for both general and vascular... Do you still love me?
I was just like, yeah I've already accepted this. We will be fine. I kind of surprised myself that I'm not worried about it. Thanks iMSN for putting everything in perspective?

We're having a graduation party at his parents house the Saturday after graduation so all our friends and family can come. We will probably just go out to dinner the evening of graduation with immediate family. I know it will be crazy but it's truly the last big thing before we get in our bus and leave for good. Well, till his sisters graduation in June lol.
