    What's your weirdest FB friendship?

    Alex's girlfriend's mom friended me a couple of months ago. We don't know each other at all (and she intimidates me because she is a "popular" mom. We like each other's posts and message each other now.

    I keep wondering what will happen when they break up.

    You are popular mom. Check you out with all your friends all over this country as well as friends in other countries. She is just popular locally.

    Hmmm, I do not think I have any weird FB friends. I've shared before MY very strict FB friend list. I also often go through and defriend people - not because they annoy me or are selling anything ect. Usually because they never post or when they do it is nothing personal. I use FB to connect with people I want to continue a relationship with when they do not live nearby. Weird thing is that my short list is extremely diverse.
    Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

      I'd have to think about that. I have a lot of FB friendships with distant cousins whom I've never met in person. I "speak" with these people daily....but that's probably not any more weird than my iMSN friendships.

          What's your weirdest FB friendship?

          A Sri Lankan friend of a Sri Lankan college instructor (I know him and his wife well). He just seems too nice to unfriend though,

                The one that has me the most flummoxed is a friend from law school. We were close even after I withdrew. He became friends with DH. I called him "Champ", he called me "Coach." He and his now-wife came to our wedding (they got engaged the night before), and they invited us to theirs (we couldn't attend but sent a gift).

                He's stopped talking to me and I have no idea why. They just announced their pregnancy and I congratulated them and both "liked" the comment. He has become very, very religious (she is Lutheran, I think he was originally raised Catholic but wasn't religious when we met). I even emailed him to refer a friend to his wills & estates group and he never responded. Why not just unfriend me, dude? I don't get it. I'm so happy to see that they're growing their family and enjoying their careers, but I can't figure out what I did.

                  My wierdest FB contact is a classmate from high school who seemed normal at the time, but has since moved to the US and become ultra-nationalist and very bigoted. Had a short spat on Facebook about a news article I posted about the 10,000 additional Syrian refugees Canada was accepting into North America. It seems Ontario is still a little to close to Michigan for his liking

                    I had one of those. He unfriended me after we got into it over EBT being accepted at Costco.

                      A nudist friend of a friend I've never met who's been inviting me to nudey events in Florida for years. I even unfriended him at some point but he re-requested!

                          Yes, it is hard for someone to continue pretending they are not bigoted when someone less fortunate steps up, actually meets the objective pre-defined criteria, and they still don't like it.
