  • Going Away Gifts

As VP of my local resident spouse association, I am charged with getting the going away gifts for those members moving on in the new medical year.

We have these coasters that seems to be the go to gift but I want to see if I can find something else. Coasters just don't seem cool enough to me.

We tend to keep it location specific as a reminder of the time they spent here so something state or city centric.

Anyone have any gift ideas or receive something awesome before?

I got something similar and it is my fav...it is a Tervis cup with the logo. I throw that in my bag every day.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

What a great idea! I am a coffee mug fan myself (we have quite the collection), but that may not have the "cool" factor.

My friend actually got personalized coasters from her mom for Christmas one year--pictures of her cat. Did you take pictures at events? Maybe the coasters could be personalized with those?

I know there are people here way more creative than me. I'm interested to see what people come up with.

Have you ever been to the Waxwing? It used to be in Shorewood but I think the location has changed. It's all local artists, a LOT of locally themed items at a really reasonable price. Not the kind of "gallery" where you pay $75 for pot holders.

DH got two beach chairs with the hospital name and logo on them one year. He loves them and they're the most practical gift he received.

Love waxwig! I'd second that idea! I think her new location is on North Ave kind of neat the downtown Whole Foods.
