Great story Jen B. I can't imagine being able to concentrate on studying knowing my twins may be born. Your husband has commitment! I didn't know my husband when he took Step 1, but I am sure I am glad I didn't have to deal with his stress about it. Last year our baby was born 3 weeks before the peds boards my DH was preparing for. He sat in the hospital while I was in labor watching college football and studying.

Good luck to all you taking Step 1.

I think the Qbank is separate from the classes too. I know you have to pay to use it, but my husband definately did not spend $1500, he also did not take the class. I think he would recommend the Qbank though, he seems to really get a lot from it. He also seems to be using it a lot, the computer is almost never free!

I'm ready for the boards to be OVER because the way Sam studies is to talk about things. I am so tired of hearing "Did you know <insert random medical realated topic>" or even worse "Do you know why <insert more random medical topics>" - especially when he calls me at work to tell me!!
That is so funny. I've learned to not ask questions pertaining to medicine in any way because I too will get a string of medical jargon much longer than my attention span. He doesn't do brief. We have a set of married friends who we went through undergrad with and now the guys are at the same med school. Every time we get together they talk medicine the whole time unless someone steps in. I know they are doing what they love and its a huge part of their lives, but I'm curious to see if they sit around and talk about their wives when they are at school.
