We've been doing FitBit challenges pretty consistently throughout the year. If not every week than a few times a month. Even if I wanted to switch I wouldn't because of the challenges
Ditto to MB. As you can imagine, we're pretty deep in the Garmin world in this house, but I kind of like being hooked in to my Fitbit network for challenges and motivation and being able to Cheer my friends and family. I use the FB mostly for steps and resting HR (and silent alarms.) When I need GPS/more accurate speed and distance and routes and HR, I just pop on my Garmin Forerunner. As a bonus, Strava syncs my Garmin activities to Fitbit, which makes the FB counts more accurate too.
But I think my dad just got a Vivoactive, he showed me his "new Garmin that does his heart rate on his wrist and he can pre-progam it whether he's walking or running so he doesn't have to change it in Strava or Garmin Connect." It looks snazzy! I think he only uses it for workouts though -- he's a Fitbit guy too.

I dont know the differences between devices but with Bluetooth the Blaze tracks GPS, you can receive texts, change music, etc. I used to be strapped with limited data, now I have unlimited but still don't use the Bluetooth much. I mostly like the large watch face, that you can see your HR with large numbers while exercising, and the timer. At one of my school's I actually put the watch on my students wrists and set the timer so they know when to come back to class! It's saved me so much time wandering the halls trying to find them.
I have never once used the exercises it has programed in but it's a cool feature (a little cartoon will show you what to do then it buzzes when it's time to go to the next exercise)
I'm actually hoping next semester is even easier than this one. I've had a hard time finding a routine with how many mornings I teach too early to get to the gym
Yeah I've asked ( and I know I am getting) a Charge 2 Fitbit.
That will be helpful for my fitness goals, but really my wish list isn't really about stuff. Stuff just isn't my love language. ( Must be hubby's though because EVERY year my pile is 3 times as large as the kids... It is embarressing. My middle son was laughing about that the other day.. Mom is queen of Christmas presents...her stuff takes up the three person couch and ours is a pile on the floor... )
But honestly, this is my Christmas wish list:
For my oldest to have a job when he graduates from college in May. For him to have good friends and to get back involved in church with a strong relationship with the Lord.
For my middle one to grow up. LOL...to stop leaving my kitchen a disaster area when he pops in. For him to gain the maturity he will need as a pastor. For he and his girlfriend to continue to improve their relationship. ( Or for God to close the door.)
I'm not sure what I wish for my daughter. She's in a good place right now. We have our moments as would be expected with a teenager having PMS and a mom going through menopause, but overall we have a good relationship.
My husband- for his headaches to go away. The guy in Dallas had some great thoughts and what he said made sense. He was probably having migraines before his brain bleed, but he could handle them...something about a nerve. Since the bleed, he has probably been having one nonstop. On his bad days he is probably having a premigraine at the same time as his migraine....the cycles are overlapping. He had some ideas to stop it, but of course, he acknowledges hubby can't take some of the meds as he doesn't want them to affect his surgical skills. I would like for him to be able to just relax. Will never happen because it isn't who he is, but I can dream. For romantic fun dates and/or getaways I don't have to plan.
A new computer. I absolutely loathe the one I bought last year. (Not gonna happen)
An oversized high quality grown up leather purse that's not a diaper bag. After 6 years of schlepping the padded vera Bradley bag, I've earned it and Lambie should be toileting soon, right?
A new puffer coat. I've been wearing my maternity coat for years. It's nice but....
Collapsible outdoor wagon. Hoping to trade in the double stroller this fall.
A glass cake dome that will fit on my cake stand.
White ceramic mixing bowls.
I suspect I'm getting a bathrobe and genealogy books (still good- I'm at least 10 years in my current bathrobe). I bought amazon prime tv and a instant pot for myself.
I'm getting old, aren't I?

A new garage. Eileen was built in the mid 40's and has a pretty significant list to the north. So much so that with change in the weather, the people door no longer latches shut. The short term remedy was to padlock the door shut. Super classy. I'm hoping to get enough on my tax return to be able to replace it in the spring. I have an uncle who will hopefully cut me a deal on the demolition and removal of the old slab and I might be able to wrangle a deal on concrete through some friends. A kit with pretty much everything needed to build a garage runs around 5k, so, then it is the cost to have it built.
SoonerTexan Yep. She leans like a drunk sorority girl during rush week. The name is perfect. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that the gate post is the main reason she is still standing.
I asked for an autism awareness watch. It came yesterday. I wrapped it. Lol.

This reminded me about the year that I wrapped everything that came in the mail during the weeks leading up to Christmas, even things that hubby ordered that weren't supposed to be presents.
