I have some serious naming criteria and I realize it makes me a snob, so the only person I report "bad names" to is my college roommate. We've been texting them back and forth for 12 years now. 😅😇

You mean you won't be naming ST baby #4 "Rye-anne" like I saw recently. Seriously just use RYAN if that's what you want...you made her a cereal grain, added a hyphen, AND used a female name that may/may not end in "e". Good lawd.

You guys crack me up on the name thing. I'm sure it is also a nightmare for teachers in pre/elementary school when they are trying to make their cutesy boards with the class' names.

These parents don't think....the kid will never be able to buy some crappy toy at a tourist trap because they will have not their name available.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Well, I used a classic name for my daughter and I still can't find a key chain. Easier to find one that says Maddysen.

I could never find my name either. I think only 90 year olds have my name.

DS1 has two Rylands in his pre-k class, a boy and a girl. The teachers literally call them "Boy Ryland" and "Girl Ryland" 100% of the time, and now DS1 thinks that's their actual names. I've tried to explain that it's just Ryland and every time he tells me I'm wrong.

There are girl Charlies in both E's class and C's class (one is a Charley), plus a Charlotte in C's class, so we refer to E's friend as "girl Charlie." I really never thought Charlie would be a popular name, but I've seen so many on FB recently, both boys and girls. I guess if he hates it, he is at least a Charles, officially, so he could go by that, or even Chuck.

Your kids all have real names spelled appropriately.

Haha my friend and I joked we were naming our child Cameron, spelt Kam'ron.
Hubby really enjoyed telling everyone who asked, we've chosen the name &er. We had way too much fun thinking of symbol names after he had a hilariously named patient.

Dh had a patient name her baby girl meconium. Obviously she didn't know what the word meant. Poor kid.

My husband wanted to name our first son Mordechai. He suggested Rasputin for our second. We have a IMSN auxiliary for expectant fathers who suggest horrible names.
