First, MrsK, thanks for the check-in. it feels really good to be remembered.

I've been reading along some threads, but I've been mostly quiet here and in life in general since the election. I've spent my entire adult life working for progressive causes in some form or fashion, and I've felt such a shocking sense of repudiation. Among other things, I've tried to step back and examine how and where I communicate and to what effect, and consequently I have been less active online. In the meantime life hasn't slowed down-- DH is an increasingly burdened new attending, my job is unusually challenging right now, and the kids are in particularly needy stages. So I'm just putting one foot in front of the other without much commentary! But really, thanks for asking.
