Ok I logged in just to see it, that's beautiful. I bet it's sold by the end of the weekend, good luck!

I'm getting nervous though bc two real estate agents have now told me that "you're listing a little early". Well shoot. This is the only time that M isn't on call and we have childcare set up.

Nah. We sold our house last year in mid-February. Sold before we put it up for sale. Just said we would never leave before July 1 right from the start. Not a problem. I think actually we bought the house in February too. And it was COLD there - I hear the warmer the weather, the earlier "spring" real estate season is....

Of course I have never been looking for a house in your market. They just want you to think you need them.

And you didn't list it... so whatever. You'll list it later if this doesn't work out.

Oh we did list it. I'm just also advertising myself and it's working! But most people buying here will have kids...I can't imagine people won't get it that we can't move until summer.

As long as I get one offer that let's us stay until 6/24, I'm good.

We put our house on the market in early April (don't remember the date, but it was right at the beginning of the month) and told buyers we weren't moving until mid-July. It wasn't a problem AT ALL. All the offers we got allowed us to close within 30-60 days, then rent-back until we moved. The offer we chose let us rent back for free, so we essentially got to live there for a free for a couple extra months. I just wanted to make sure we closed as quickly as possible, because I didn't want anyone backing out of the sale at the last second, leaving us in a lurch right before we were supposed to move.

Yeah that's what happened to us in Cleveland too (we rented back). I feel like it's not that big a deal but all these realtors were like, "oh people hate that..."

Oh like everyone does it. Our realtor discouraged it too - we rented back to the people we bought it from. They wanted to finish out school year

Why do the realtors hate it?

I'm filled with paralyzingly self doubt. What if I can't sell it? I had two showings today. My inner introvert did NOT enjoy the chit chat. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.
