  • Hacked...

Yes...this is the second time in two weeks

There are some people who just have too much time on their hands. They go in and screw up the admin password and then type a bunch of useless bogus on the site and move on...these are infamous hackers. In any case, I managed to figure out which web host they were using for their own graphics that they had posted and reported it.

In the meantime, this shouldn't affect the site too much...I'll get it all squared away soon.......

A friend of mine works for Microsoft--designing the new XBox Live--and I was talking to him the other day about firewalls. He says they use Computer Associates eTrust up there, and said it is the best one available. About a week ago I downloaded the free 1-month trial from them for their EZ-Armor suite (includes firewall, anti-virus, popup and email protection) and I LOVE it. I'll be purchasing one for my office computer and another for my husband's as soon as the trials expire. It's $49.95 a year for the one I'm getting, which is definitely worth it. My friend told me that when the Sasser worm hit, Computer Associates had the patch up within hours--Norton took days. Here's the website, in case anyone's interested:

      Allison,
No need to worry about your email address....they were only able to hack into the admin file. The database is protected. Also, we've added a security patch. I am looking at switching over to some different software.

      Don't panic, y'all... 8)
