    Anyone have one?

We are looking at the 2018 inscription model.
It has the self driving features that Ryan wants and the third row I want (for the dogs).

Price tag is pretty hefty(80k) so just trying to get real life reviews.

    The runners up were

Range Rover- removed because of reliability
    Bloated Mercedes SUV- too big
    Yukon Denali - too big

FWIW - This is what DH decided on after months of research, putting the $ down for one and then losing his marbles to buy his impractical sports car. We'd have one if we had not gotten our deposit back. I'm short and it was also the one SUV I felt comfortable driving.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Yes I agree. I can actually drive this one and not feel like a semi driver. We already have the impractical 2 seater convertible sports car. Ha

I loved my XC60, and we would have an XC90 right now if they had captains seats in the middle row. I loved the XC90 on the test drive.
Have you considered doing that trip, where Volvo will pay for your travel and you can pick up your new car and go on a road trip in Sweden?

Well we bought it. Actually I bought it Ryan is still at the hospital
Driving in the crazy rain today with the set driving was kinda strange but felt safe.

It's like the last one on my list to look at (sit in mostly - I am basing decision mainly on seat comfort- headrest in particular... yep I'm crazy)!

Is the 2018 all electric? I heard it was happening, but I didn't realize the 2018s were all ready out. I hope I misunderstood and it's happening in 2019 then 🙁. I have no issue with hybrids, but I'm not super excited about all electric in this town.

I think they are super cute. My friends with them love them. But if all ready totally electric, maybe I'll have to wait for the x7 thingy if DH doesn't give up on the Range Rover ban...

I'm surprised you thought the big Mercedes was all that big. It was so huge inside, but I didn't think it drove big. I hated the seat though... and the weird gearshift thing was kind of a lot for me. Plus I'm really against the joystick thing that it and the Lexus have for the computer stuff. Why move away from touch screen?

Anyway - I'm interested to hear how you like it! I'll eventually get to the dealership... (so far away, and still so hot here).

I loved my XC90. But the driveshaft and tranny went in it, before 50k miles. I was sad and pissed. It was such a great little car. My kids would have outgrown it anyways. I've had two Yukon Denali's since and prob getting a third this spring. (I don't have the xl)
              I love them.

I don't know why merc felt so large but it did. I felt overwhelmed by it. The 2018 has a hybrid that is coming but hasn't cleared all EPA standards yet. We looked at waiting but could be late November and hefty 100k price tag. Nothing about all electric that we were told.

We leased it so hopefully it makes it the three years we have it. Ryan wants all the new tech so there is no way he will "marry" a car at this point with all the self driving stuff being updated.

The Volvo all electric thing isn't happening until 2019. At that point, all new Volvos will be either electric or hybrid. DH is really into the idea of us both driving electric vehicles (to go with the solar roof + powerwall), so he's really excited about it.

The turning radius was pretty tight which I liked. I also fit in it so much better. I think the fit is what made it feel less ginormous.

Ryan will be all over that. I have no doubt we will turn in early when something he can't live without comes out.

Now, I am more pissed about about DH's car purchase.

Ah. Awesome. I just heard that from my mom.... a like life long Volvo driver until she switched to a Lexus 4 years ago. But I just pulled into a parking lot I haven't been to for two months and there are four new charging stations... so maybe this city will actually be ready by 2019... I'll need a new car before then anyway (although it would be amazing not to!).
