  • Improving your handwriting

Honestly, my handwriting was never beautiful, but now even I can’t read it. On the occasions that I have to write things down at work, I’m embarrassed. Often, the office manager has to ask me what I wrote. Sometimes, I can’t decipher it. When I write things out for parents, I’m careful to tell them what I’ve written and I try my best. I occasionally take notes during sessions. They’re chicken scratch.

I feel my handwriting has declined due to lack of use. I type most things. I need to figure out a way to strengthen my fingers and improve my writing. Does anyone have any ideas for where I can start?

    Kris

Are there German handwriting workbooks? I know Russians have tons, so I'm assuming there are German versions. We were forced to write a certain way when doing longhand. Americans usually say I have beautiful handwriting, even though it's crap by Russian standards.

A workbook is a good idea. Thanks!

A couple of years ago I messed around with some free resources for Italic handwriting and I thought it helped my print. I can't find the public domain worksheets I used then, but here's a well known instructor talking about why Italic can be a good choice. https://handwritingsuccess.com/handwriting-tips/
