  • Grocery List App

Do you use a grocery list app? I’m trying out List Ease and it’s ok but not great. I can’t figure out how to get the pantry section to actually work. What app do you use and what does it offer?

I just use Cozi app for both family calendar and grocery lists. That way anyone can add things on it and if I send my daughter to the store to shop, she has it handy too.

      That’s a good suggestion.

How much functionality are you looking for?

I use Alexa, but usually forget about it once I am in the grocery store.

I use the Any.do app for grocery lists because it ties in nicely with Alexa.

We use OurGroceries. J and I share it, so either of us can add something to it, and it's always on the list. You can enter quantities, and I have everything put in categories that correspond to the aisle of the grocery store. It remembers the items for next time I enter them, so they go into the correct category. You can also create separate lists, so Groceries is our default, but we also have like a running Target, CVS/Walgreens, Lowes/HomeDepot, and maybe a few other lists. I can't shop without it. You can use Alexa with it too, although I don't very often. "Alexa, ask OurGroceries to add milk to the list."

We’ve tried a few and they all seem to take more time than just me writing a list in the notes section of the phone.

I use a Google list shared with my family. It's so easy to say to the mini in the kitchen to add something when it runs out. Adding by voice... How lazy am I??!

This is what we do with Alexa. Then just open the Amazon app in the store to see the list!

What I like about the app I’m using is that as soon as I put it in my cart I can check it off and it is placed on the bottom with a red line through it. I’d be interested in the shared grocery list app but not sure about Cozi. We tried it once before and I was the only one to add things. I’ll have to talk to Thomas. Thanks for the suggestions.

I use the Walmart grocery app. As we run out of something or when I'm meal planning, i just add everything to my grocery list. Then submit the order wheb I'm ready and pick it up curbside.

Ooo I didn't know they had an app! I use them, but on a web browser and just add things that I need as I think of them.

Because going into Walmart just sucks.

They do! And it’s not just groceries! I’ve bought printer ink, gifts for kids’ birthday parties, alarm clocks, nails, a water pic....basically, before buying from amazon, I check to see if they have it at walmart.
