Years ago, I used to sew. My machine broke and I inherited a small one from Amanda. I took it out of the box and realize I don’t know where to start. I’d like to see some blankets but I’m lacking inspiration. Should I just head to the craft store?

I tried to teach myself to sew once, it did not go well. I ended up donating the sewing machine.

I have a knitting machine that I taught myself to use. It came with patterns that gradually got more difficult, and told me what yarn to buy. Learning to use it was totally doable. In fact I have a sweaater on the machine right now. So, I say it is too soon to give up yet!! Do you have a manual for it? And definitely I'd go to the craft store, with the machine in tow.

          You’ve convinced me to try!

Yay!! Keep us updated! Let us know how it goes!!

I don't know, maybe a quilt is not the best project to start with. Ask them at the craft store.
