Paper, plastic, or cloth?

spotty_dog I got these ones a few months ago and have been happy with them so far. They have a different set with multiple sizes if you’d prefer. The checkout people seem ok with them because they are easy to see through. I just keep them inside my reusable bags I’m bringing into the store.

I’d never thought of washing my bags. I’m sure mine are gross.

      Thanks for the rec!!

DH saw me sniffing our Chico bags recently and was shocked when I admitted that yes, I do feel the need to toss them in the wash when they get funky. I have never ever washed any of our other grocery bags tho, the woven-style or the plastic-lined ones. I've heard that it's a reason that some checkers have resisted the move to reusable. They're not cool with bags that sit in the communal cart, sit on a household floor of unknown cleanliness, etc. then go on to the same belt with the produce that not everybody washes or with the possibly leaking meat products...I dunno.

ooo I want those produce sacks!

I actually have the bags sitting in my car (or did for awhile) and ALWAYS forgot to bring them in. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a bag ban because then the checkers will stick more than 2 items in a bag and I wont have to carry 25 tiny bags into the house.

I often forget mine too but I just ask the checker to load the produce loose back in my cart and I load up the bags when I get to the car. They think I’m insane but it works great. Also I stack produce in empty car seats if the tiny people aren’t with me.

I thought it was only my Walmart. Eesh.

So true about the two items in a bag. I also put things on the belt in a specific way so that like things are bagged together. It never works. I’ll get a frozen item and socks. Of course, the Walmart bags are so thin that they probably can’t fill them with much.

Speaking of Walmart, Thomas and I were there last night and we watched a man rob the store. He took a tv, electronics, pillows, and blankets.

I used to ask for paper because I'd always end up with 5-6 instead of 20. I need to do that again.
