Laundry detergent

Powder or liquid?

This is a major issue in our house. I choose liquid. Thomas recently found 4 big bags of German powder and bought them along with a huge container. I have enough detergent for a year. The problem is that it clumps in the detergent drawer. I don’t want to add it to the clothes because of potential discoloration.

What do you use?

Liquid Tide.

We used TidePods. I had clumping issues with the powder (though I've read you can skip the drawer and just put it on clothes). Apparently the liquid Tide containers aren't recyclable, though not much is getting recycled these days anyway. :/

I used the Costco powder for awhile and didn't have any clumping issues, but I went to liquid about 6 months ago for convenience's sake.
