  • Negative effects of masks

Has anyone had any? I have started having nosebleeds when I wear them. . This is the opposite problem I would expect to have. Any suggestions from anyone? Maybe this is a coincidence?

ETA: I had my first nosebleed when I wasn’t wearing a mask a week ago.

I have been breaking out around my chin. But that probably doesn’t count as a negative effect in the grand scheme of things.

Neither does nosebleeds I guess either. It’s just so unusual. I can’t figure out what is causing them to persist. Today I was at the grocery store with Amanda and had blood on my mask again. Ugh.

I notice myself breaking out as well. Have you found anything that helps?

I have seen breaking out but not nosebleeds.

The nosebleeds were a fluke. I haven’t had them in weeks. The breaking out is real!

I went on a plane last week and had motion sickness for the first time ever and I think it was the mask. I switched from my cloth mask to a paper medical one that was much lighter and the sensation went away and didn't come back on my way home.
