  • common sentences that bug you...

Stuff that bugs me is sentences that have a but in them (usually making it negative) or "to be perfectly honest". And of course the worst one for me is after a sentence "you know what I mean?"

"I'm not sure what time" is a good one too.

Anything that starts with "as per" or "irregardless"

IT's "AS we discussed, OR "PER our discussion" - it makes me nutty

and IT's "regardless of your opinions, you still need to vote"

AND- I hate, hate, hate when I go to a restaurant and am lumped in a group of "you guys" as in "hi, I'm susie, if you guys have any questions...."

You mean like when people start off "I'm sorry, but . . ." and "I don't mean to be mean, but . . ." and you instantly know that they're not sorry and they don't care whether they're mean? Yup, I'll agree with that one.

It bothers me when people use the 'but'...as in..you are a nice person, but....or...what a nice paint color, but wouldn't you rather...or I don't want to hurt your feelings, but....

So I'm with Julie on this one.

I find it irritating when people say "not to interrupt, but..." and then they proceed to interrupt.
I also hate it when people say "I love so and so to death"...what in the hell does that mean?
