I'm addicted, too! I was really hesitant to watch it at first because I thought it was going to be more along the lines of a Joan Collins novel or primetime soap opera. I'm also not a huge fan of Terri Hatcher (I think that's her name). Anyways, it's just really campy and fun show!

          I'm hooked too!

I missed the first episode - did they explain how/why that house burned down? And what Susan had to do with it? I thought they might explain last night..but darn it...they didn't!

The Teri Hatcher character went over to her rival's house to "borrow a cup of sugar" to break up her date with the single guy neighbor. She knock, there is no answer. She lets herself in and the place is lit up with candles. The sounds coming from upstairs indicate she is too late to stop the romance (ahem) then she takes off and stumbles. She knocks over a candle or two and lights up the drapes....then the house. She dropped the measuring cup as she ran out. Turned out it was a different guy upstairs with the neighbor lady. The house burned down.

            Clearly I have a D-Hs problem too......

I watched one episode and couldn't really get into it. I love Lost, though!

I also love Lost, and FH makes me tape it if he's going to be on call. I'd almost forgotten how to work the VCR, since there hasn't been much worth going out of our way to tape on TV lately. We have multiple theories on what is going on on the island--I hope they don't cancel the show before they explain it all.

                    Julie, what are your theories?

I can't wait until this week's episode as I'm so curious what the deal is with the Korean couple.

Maybe "theory" is too strong a word. Also, I've missed at least one episode. Since the paralyzed guy could walk and the doctor saw his dead father, at first I thought that somehow the island creates what a person most needs emotionally, but only when they're open to receiving it, since everyone didn't get their wishes fullfilled all at once or anything. Then FH pointed out that the pilot certainly didn't "need" to be eaten by a giant monster. But I think something so large and horrible was somehow created from their collective fear as the plane crashed. I have no explanation for the polar bear. The island seems to be making their emotional states tangible, though.

I don't know what to make of Desperate Housewives yet--I think it's either going to degenerate into just another evening soap, or it's going to grow into something really quirky and original.

Did anyone see the Monday Night Football teaser for Desperate Housewives? The NFL and ABC Sports have called it inappropriate and have apologized to viewers, especially those with kids. Personally, I thought it was risque but funny, and I'm in complete envy of Nicolette Sheridan's body. It's fabulous motivation to hit the gym! :weight:

                          What do you think?

It was a marketing ploy to attract more viewers. I think people are overreacting. I thought it was funny and people shouldn't take it so seriously. It's a great show, I really like it!
