Hey- we have discovered a fabulous new product that has made giving my dog pills a pleasurable experience for both of us-

They're called Pill Pockets and I got a sample from the vet- then ordered three packs off the website (http://www.pillpockets.com). They're liver flavored and come in different sizes (based on size of dog and size of pill). They also make a salmon flavored one for cats that I have yet to try.

When we had our dog, we slipped his meds in banana slices. He loved bananas!

I slice up hot dogs and stick the medicine in there. I'll have to check out that site, though--I bought several different dog treats from the grocery store hoping to shove the medicine in there but it would just crumble.

        Thanks for the great tip!

We also shove pills into soft treats only to have them crumble. We've even used peanut butter to "glue" the treats back together.

We also use the hotdog trick but one dog we had was just too dang smart and would still manage to spit the pill back out
