OK, so you all know that I travel for a living (and am leaving a FABULOUS group home in Buffalo, NY at the moment)

so, anyway, because my travel requires a ton of eating out, hanging out in public restrooms, and airport restaurants- let me tell you what this election has done...

PEOPLE ARE TALKING. They are talking respectfully, they are diagreeing respectfully, and they are trying to understand why thing have turned out the way they have. It's awesome. So, if nothing else, the polarization tactics employed by both sides are apparently getting old and maybe people (not the politicians, of course) are reaching out to each other and trying to attempt to move on and understand each other.

That is good to hear. We are all human, we all have valid opinions, and we all need to get along.

Jenn, I used to live in Buffalo. Heck, I could have driven there and met you for dinner. Maybe next time.

That really is good to hear. I have a fear that the polarization will turn into as much hatred within our country as there is between some countries. It's reassuring to hear otherwise.

I, too, have found this to be the case. Naturally, this is CONTRARY to what the media suggest, which is a "country divided" and "will we ever heal?" I wish somebody would do more "warm fuzzy" stories.

I would agree that people are talking where I am too. Most of the interactions I have seen were respectful although I live in a Democratic state and I have seen two cars with eggs on them in parking lots with "BUSH" stickers on them. Depressing.

Four more years...sigh. Not sure what I think of that as a whole...
