  • Are you mobile?

As in ...are you mobile with your computer? I'm sitting here at the coffee shop pretending to finish up some writing...instead I'm typing away and catching up on posts...

Yes! And I don't know why I would ever go back to a desktop. Our laptop has more capabilities than our desktop.

I bought my laptop in February and LOVE sitting in coffee shops. I try to get some school work done (I'm in grad school and working -- yuck!!), but I can't resist playing, too. I even pick coffee shops based on whether it offers wireless internet! I think it might be a sickness.

Yes, my husband and I both bought laptops when he was in med school and I was in grad school - I'll never go back to a desktop.

Yep, we both have laptops, and we also have wireless internet, so I can take my computer anywhere in the house and surf the net. I really dug my heels in when dh wanted to get it, but now that we have it, I love it! I'm in IA this weekend and didn't bring my laptop, so for now I'm on my parent's regular computer. I've never surfed the net in a coffee shop, how does that work? Do they have ports you can plug into or is it wireless?

Coffee shops usually have a power source to plug into, but they're internet is wireless (from my experience anyway!). It's fun! :chat:

No, but I would really like to be!!!! DH is afraid he would never talk to me again if I were, though.

Thanks to your federal tax, yes I am...

We do everything online- so we have to be able to email from funky, remote spots.

Like right now, I am somewhere in the USA, on the laptop.

Yes and it is heaven! We just got our laptop and wireless connectivity in May and it rocks!

I've never taken the laptop to a coffee shop though...I just use it at home.

I have a laptop through work but we can't get online at our remote site yet so it's not much fun!
