  • Lots of Christmas

Wow! We went to our realtor's house this evening. Locally she is known as "The Christmas Lady". Here is a link.... http://www.debbieklewis.com/Nav.aspx/Pa ... fault.aspx

Some of the things were really cool, they have a whole Christmas village of miniatures that fills a two-car garage including some ships and a couple lighthouses!

They have their whole house lit up until Dec 27th. I think I would be tired of being "Merry" by then! :thud:

Can you imagine her public utlities' bill after the holidays?! It looks very cool though-- I know my kids would get a kick out of all of those lights.

Wow! The more pressing question, however, is how long did it take her to grow her hair that long? JK.

          A little history....
11 years ago, Debbie(our realtor) was home alone because her husband was deployed (Air Force) to Korea. She went out the day after Christmas and bought, literally, one room full of decorations at 50%+ off. When her husband got back home they had to build extra storage buildings to hold it all. They decided that they would share the setup with friends and neighbors. It is a pretty good idea, since she is a realtor, to keep the leads and business coming in. Anyway, they have people sign a guestbook and then tour the whole yard, two storage buildings, the back yard, then through the house from back door to the garage door, through the garage and then back into the front yard. They have about 5000 people each Christmas come and visit. On Christmas Eve, they have 1000+ only!! This year they will have seen the 50,000th person.
The truly unbelievable thing is that they do this for free, it is easily worth a couple bucks to see-IMHO. I will say that it did give me a kick into the holiday spirit, and I am not the most festive around this time....especially this year with DW gone for so long.

Anyway, just wanted to share a little history on the "over the top Christmas"

            Wow.

We don't have any Christmas decorations up yet. And being the bah humbug that I am, I'm lobbying to not have a tree. Three weeks of keeping Anna out of the tree on a continual basis doesn't sound so fun.

Wow, those are some crazy decorations. Can you imagine dusting all that stuff?

Matt, when I first saw her hair, I thought it was a boa constrictor(I used to have two ) wrapped over her shoulder. The position looked too awkward and then I realized it was all hair! I got my hair chopped a year and a half ago and it still is only to my shoulders. I can't help but wonder how long that took her to grow!
