Ok, since I spend to much time online anyway, since it is Christmas and I am in prepetual Spring, I have been thinking about members of our great community online.

Chris, in my mind, your home is just like the setting of "Funny Farm"-please take no offense, I don't think that you have a lazy Lab that lets his tail cook in the fireplace, or that your marriage is crazy like the movie- but when I think of your home from the picture that you posted....I see your house in an area just like that.

....ah, I can see the snow, the frozen pond for skating, the deer in the distance, the smell of the freshly cut tree, the smell of the fireplace, the cool winter air on my face- no wait, that was my air conditioner- damn, sunshine state.

I love that movie! Especially the scene where the let the dog out and the dog just heads into the hills and keeps running.
    Awake is the new sleep!

LOL, I don't know if that's good or bad. I haven't seen the movie in a long time. When we were looking at homes, we were talking to a builder and a deer ran right by us as if on cue.

It hasn't really snowed yet, but when it does it's gorgeous! It's very hilly here and so pretty to see miles and miles of naked trees frosted with snow. Honest, we have deer and turkey families walking through the yard all the time. It's awesome, and yet we are two miles from the highway. I love upstate NY!!! I don't know how you can manage down in the south. My brother is moving to Orlando in a few weeks and he is SO excited about the weather. Yeesh. I love my four seasons. But your image of what it's like here is pretty spot on, down to the ponds and all.

Chris, your area sounds beautiful! Too bad we are attached to the west...
