  • Presents?

So, for those of you who exchange gifts at this time of year: Christmas, Hannukah, Soltice, whatever-

What did you get for that medical spouse/SO/pal of yours?

Other than our trip to Russia....I got him the World of Poker Texas Hold 'em computer game and the boxed set of Live-Aid performances -a pivitol moment for those of us who were teens in the 80's (graduating class of '84 and '85 in this household!) I actually still have the VHS tapes from the original broadcast on MTV. I tell myself that they're worth something.

    We are the world....

I am giving DH a flannel robe and a wallet to replace the one I gave him 5 yrs ago. Hm. Need to go buy that wallet. Oh, and a calendar that I haven't bought and am hoping is still at the store.

Our gift to each other is that we're getting a digital camera. Except we're having a little trouble picking one out.

Our cheapo EBay digital camera is a dud! We have been looking at new ones and also can't quite decide what we want. Good luck!

Other than the mp3 player my hubby bought himself as an early Christmas gift, I bought him a flag from his alma mater, UCLA. I have one of those little flag poles that you put on the front porch to display cutesy holiday and seasonal flags. Well, DH hates it because it's too girly, so I bought him a UCLA flag to fly on the days his team is playing.

i got dh a tie that had a picture of him and our son "listening" to each others hearts with their stethoscopes. i got it from personalcreations.com. you can either upload a digital picture or send in a hard copy and they reproduce it on a tie. it was only $20 and turned out amazingly nice. works well for someone in peds that likes to wear "fun" ties.

Jill, that's a great gift idea! I'm sure the tie will look great and his patients will love it! Too bad my hubby only wears scrubs to work.

Jill, that is such a cool idea! And what a cute pic that must be...can you post it?

I'm always at a loss as to what to get dh. The man doesn't need or want anything.

DH is getting a new watch. He broke his other one when he dived to catch our dog after she bolted out of the front door. The watch was more than I was supposed to spend on Christmas, so it's all he is getting.

Jenn, Rick doesn't consider himself a *spouse* does he? :>

I am a little behind the times....I got her the gift that everyone here was talking about last year! The video game thing that plugs into the TV- she is a Tetris-aholic, she should enjoy it. It has all the versions of Tetris and was on sale at Best Buy for less than $20! Other than that, she will be getting free stuff from me...clean kitchen, clean sheets, hugs, towels handed to her so she doesn't have to step out into the cold tile floor....
