  • Attack of the Christmas Blues

Merry Christmas or Happy Chrismahannakwazakah, or what ever you may celebrate.

I just sent the doc out the door for a his Christmas eve shift, what a bummer. I worked all day and he works all night.

I just am really lonely. Really no Christmas to celebrate with out the ones you love.

My family and his too (thank god) were all too busy to travel and so were we. So a lonely night for me.

    I feel sorry for myself.

And he brought home the dreaded "attack of the pukes" so I get to be nauseated and all night. ::

Just wondering what I can do to cheer myself up.

    Hi Anne,

I'm newish here too, but I'm sorry you're having such a rough night. Maybe take some time to pamper yourself and take a nice hot bubble bath? (I would suggest a glass of wine as well, but probably not if you've really caught your husband's plague! ) Whatever you do, I hope that tomorrow dawns a bit brighter.

    Take care!
    Lindsay

p.s. I read your post on the Introductions board, so it at least sounds like next Christmas will be an improvement! Best of luck to you and your husband!

Well if it makes you feel any better, DH, DD, and I ALL had the "attack of the pukes" this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was horrible. I have so much laundry to do. There was more than one occasion when all three of us were :: at the same time. I hope I never see anything like it again. The worst part was we couldn't be a part of DH's family get-together because his mom is on chemo, and can't be exposed to anything. Not exactly what I planned for Christmas!

Wow...it sounds like a lot of people were alone/sick on the holidays. Yuck!
