  • Great little mini-vacation!

We just had a great little mini-vacation! We went to a local hotel Tuesday afternoon and just got home in time for lunch...I have been in the swimming pool or play area with the kids for nearly 2 days and it was fabulous. I forgot that hte weather is crappy and dreary and cold and disgusting! For two whole days, we had summer!!! Thomas was so excited about how great it was that we're planning on taking a couple of days next month too!

NOW...no more SNOW and yuck in MN...It's time for Spring to come!!!

I know how you feel. I keep thinking I've been sick all winter; now I think I've just been sick OF winter. When the sun comes out and the sky is blue, I suddenly feel healthy again. We can see the ground here finally. Hopefully no more snow will cover it. My friends from Boston sent out a distress signal last night---apparently they are expecting 12 inches today .

      Couldn't agree more

I don't know who out there is a New Englander (We live in RI), but our family just went to the Cape Codder resort in Cape Cod, MA. We had a very similar experience. This is a family resort with an indoor wave pool and indoor water slides. They had kid movies (Finding Nemo) and a bon fire with Smores at night. They had an arcade and kid movies/Nintendo 64 in the rooms. It was so fun and relaxing. We spent hours in the pool with the kids. At night when they fell asleep, Kev and I had a bottle of wine and rented a movie. Just what the doctor ordered (ha ha ha).
