  • The best things about Spring!!!

Woohooo..When I was driving out of our neighborhood the other day, I noticed that one of the lawns was really turning GREEN! Things are greening up here. There is no more dirty snow laying around and the yucky brown grass is slowly...perking up.

I went out into the garden yesterday and pulled back some of the leaves away from my strawberry plants to discover that the majority of them are green now and have new leaf buds!

I love spring...I love seeing the new growth and the anticipation of summer! I can't wait to get out there and garden.

I agree, I get such a sense of renewal and excitement in the spring.

Our first sign that spring is here is that our local Dairy Queen is back open for business. Mmmm, Dairy Queen... :]

The weather's been so nice here too, and I love that it's still light for a couple of hours after dinner. We've been going for walks every night this week!

I love spring, too. The first thing I'll have to do when we move into our new house is mow! We were over there a couple days ago and I was lamenting at the fact that the current owners haven't mowed (and probably won't).

The Cherry Blossoms are finally starting to bloom. Of course, the tourist buses have also started to 'blossom' as well.

Spring in DC is always so pretty. That's why every 8th grader in the USA comes for their spring trip. Oh well, they're so funny to watch.

I can hang clothes out to dry on the line!! They smell soooo good, it reminds me of my childhood, and it saves some cash on the electric bill!

We've been outside playing every day also! At around 4pm in our neighborhood, you'll find 5 or 6 parents congregating and at least a dozen or so kids on bikes, scooters, etc. We've been debating whether it's late enough in the day for a brewsky!
My redbuds are blooming, and the blossoms just fell off our weeping cherry!
