Server Problems.

Hi guys....I just want to update you on the fact that I am having some server difficulties. You may have noticed that your posts from this past week have disappeared. Please be assured that no one was deleting them intentionally. When the website was put back up for some reason the cached version from last week was put up. We are blowing through HUGE amounts of bandwidth (analagous to electricity that supplies your house) in a matter of days. We're using what we actually should use in almost a month in a matter of days. This may be a result again of someone hijacking part of the browser for their own use. I'm in the process of going through and deleting any program that I don't need to see if I can get to the bottom of this.

Your data is also secure through this software progam, so you don't need to worry about you email addresses/usernames/passwords, etc. The problem is part of the administrative backend that is separate from the database which stores our data.

I hope you'll all be patient with me while I try and get to the bottom of what is going on.

Thanks for all of your hard work. I'm technically-challenged but I noticed a strange error message the other day when I tried to access the site. It said something like the server at pokedyou.com??? I don't know if that's meaningful or helpful but I wonder if that could be evidence of hijacking.

Pokedyou ( http://www.pokedyou.com ) is actually our webhost...It's ErDrRon's company. That was a separate problem related to migration of the server. The Bandwidth issue is kind of like the electricity for the website.....and lately it's as if we are leaving the lights on and using the oven to heat the house or something.

I think it has to do with an email server linked to the site being hijacked. I'm in the process of trying to delete it.

Thanks for noticing. It could be a lot of things actually. I didn't realize that there was an email set up and it had close to 10,000 messages in the inbox. All spam, of course That could be problem. Also, I'm removing all pics I had posted there...in case someone was linking to one of them.

Balls...we got it all figured out....someone was actually routing spam mail through a fake email address set up as stories.medicalspouse.com They were routing spam all across the globe.

Jerks.

You're awesome -- and may I say again that you MUST find a way to make some $ for yourself from this. You put in too much time & effort. I've only been posting for a few months, but when I can't get on, I feel like I can't reach my friend!

There's got to be some advertisers interested in reaching "doctor families" (even though MS and PGY peeps have NO $$$).

The e-mail notification isn't working correct? Just wanted to make sure because mine isn't. Thanks for all of your hard work and I too would gladly pay a nominal monthly fee to keep this up and running.
