  • SNOW?!?!?

We're getting snow today - enough for plows. 2 to 3" today, 1 to 2" tomorrow (the day of our first open house).

I guess this is God's way of helping me not be so sad about leaving Cleveland. So much for the flowers I planted in my flower boxes to make the place look adorable!

    GRRRRRRRRRRR.

    I'm sorry.

You could try covering stuff. We had an ice storm a few years back and I saved most of my pansies (they grow in winter here) and the only ones I lost were the uncovered ones.

I covered all my tomato plants too. We aren't suppose to get snow, but its like 30 degrees out there.

Was it all a dream that last week at this time we were enjoying temperatures in the high 70's??

Bleh. 6-7 inches on the ground here.

Alison - I love your photo journal. Especially the daffs at their "peak".

My begonias are just little mounds of snow in my window box, as are my petunias in the back window boxes. I know I should have covered them, but I'm a rotten gardener and everyone's suggestions came when they were already under 4" of snow. I figured that would just add insult to injury.

Our open house was a total bust today - who wants to go house shopping in this slop???

Oh yes, I love Ohio! At least in Columbus none of the snow stuck to the actual ground, just the cars, trees and roofs. I was still sad to see all my tulips with frost on them! At least today the sky is blue, does that mean it's spring again? And for how long?
