Alright...HOW do you bid on ebay?

I registered and ended up bidding on...*gulp* 4 different things...and...I ended up bidding around $5 over the previous bid on all of them. I really liked the items, but....it occurred to me that I could have gotten them for less.

Then, of course, I realized that my bids in total are now $45 and if I win all of them, I will have to do some explaining to Thomas.

I've never done this before...but I'm so excited!!! I am bidding on Lundby dollhouse stuff. I just build Amanda a dollhouse for her birthday and I want to fill it up!

Kris, I wrote out a long explanation of bidding and it made no sense. So here is this link which should be much clearer than I am. http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/proxy-bidding.html But you did it the right way, and you couldn't have gotten it for less because the other bidder had a higher bid amount than the current price.

    I looooove eBay!!!! Happy bidding!!!

Cool! I made Amanda's from scratch...the whole kit thing was just too complicated for me! I went and bought the plywood and cut it with a jigsaw. It's not perfect, but...it's homemade.

How about this one for you:

I think I want this one:

Too bad all of the lundby stuff is GBP and UK only.

            Too cute!

I can't believe you made a dollhouse from scratch.

Dude...I didn't win any of them. Someone got on and bid in the last hour ...I bet the people selling just didn't want to sell for that price. :|

Ebay is dangerous stuff. I start to get competitive just for the sake of being competitive and wanting to WIN. I ended up bidding $24 on a USED cd that wasn't even that rare just because I was irritated that I kept getting outbid.

Thankfully someone was crazier than I was.

My last kernel of advice is to check the shipping charges carefully. I've ended up buying something for a steal, but once I've paid shipping it was either a wash, or more than if I'd bought new.

Good luck -- and watch the trigger finger.

Well, I ended up bidding on two different vintage lundby dollhouse bathrooms (I love lundby) with the hopes of winning at least one....and....I won both ooops. Well, at least now that she has two dollhouses each one will have a nice bathroom! One I got for 6.99 but the other one was 16.99 That just goes to show you the difference in prices that you can end up getting, I guess.

I also won a little table with two chairs for the new dollhouse kitchen. I only bid $3.50 and was sure I would lose that one...The shipping is actually $4.25

This is dangerous stuff alright....I am sooo hooked. I must learn to walk away from the computer....I know that I probably could have bought a new bahthroom set from the dollhouse store for the16.99 + 5.50 shipping...but th entertainment factor (and the fact that I got a pre-1970's bathroom) was worth it.

woohooo.....someone take away my credit card!
